Tune Into Your Pulse

Blood transports oxygen and nutrients to every organ, funnels metabolic waste away from those tissues, plays a huge role in immune systems protection, and regulates bodily temperature.1 Considering how essential blood is to our wellbeing, it’s essential to stay tuned to the cells that keep you going every day!

Signs You Need Blood Testing

Blood testing to identify blood types (A+, A-,  B+, B-,  O+, O-,  AB+, AB-) is super important when considering blood transfusions or donations.2 Blood tests can also check for coagulation complications, which may suggest a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia. The following are common symptoms of bleeding disorders:

  • Easy bruising
  • Frequent nosebleeds
  • Abnormally heavy menstrual bleeding
  • Bleeding into joints
  • Excessive bleeding from minor cuts.3

If you have been experiencing any of the above symptoms or have a family medical history of hemophilia, blood testing is highly recommended.
