In most cases, vitamin supplements or simple changes in diet can get you back on the right path.
At a fraction of the cost of individual testing, this Comprehensive Vitamin Panel includes the following:
How Our Comprehensive Vitamin Panel Works
Once you place your order for the Comprehensive Vitamin Panel, simply stop by one of our 4,000+ nationwide testing facilities when convenient and have your sample collected. A certified staff member will take a small blood sample, at which point your job is complete. The process is painless and takes only a few minutes. In fact, most patients are in and out of the facility in under a half-hour. From there, your sample will be processed in a CLIA-certified laboratory. You’ll have complete results in as little as 24-72 hours regarding any potential vitamin deficiencies or surpluses.
Common Vitamin Overdose Symptoms
Symptoms of abnormal levels of vitamins can vary depending on the vitamin in question. In general, vitamin overdose can cause otherwise unexplainable ailments such as:
- Difficulty sleeping
- Nerve complications
- Irritability
- Trouble concentrating.1
Common Vitamin Deficiency Symptoms
Too little can result in vitamin deficiency signs including, but not limited to:
- Abnormal fatigue
- Dizziness
- Jaundice
- Mood swings
- Unexpected weight loss
- Numbness or tingling
- Weakness.2
Fortunately, in most cases, vitamin excesses and depletions can be corrected by lowering vitamin doses or taking more of the vitamin that’s been depleted.
How to Interpret Your Results
We strive to make interpreting your results as straightforward as possible. Our Comprehensive Vitamin Panel is a blood test that measures your body’s current levels of specific vitamins with comprehensive, CLIA-certified immunoessays, mass spectrometry and chromatography testing methods.
When reviewing your results, you’ll notice ‘results’, ‘flag’ and ‘reference range’ columns. The ‘reference range’ refers to the threshold for the specific vitamin. The ‘result’ is the numerical value describing the prevalence of that vitamin. The final outcome of your panel can be found under the ‘flag’ column, reported as either normal or abnormal. An abnormal test will indicate a surplus or deficient level of each vitamin. If your result is higher than the reference range, it is considered a surplus. However, if your result is less than the reference range, it is considered a deficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), vitamin deficiency was seen in about 10% of the population in 2012. These percentages can vary not only across age and gender but also the specific vitamin.3

We understand that health testing can be a sensitive experience and you should expect a high degree of privacy. We utilize Quest Diagnostics collection sites that are discreet and nondescript. This means you will never be singled out for getting tested, and nobody in the lobby will know your reason for visiting. You will never be sent to a public clinic, health department, or doctors office.
-
All of the tests we offer are FDA approved and performed in CLIA certified labs to ensure the highest level of accuracy. If you’re testing for certain STDs, you’ll want to consider their latency periods as testing too quickly after exposure could produce an inaccurate result simply because the virus is too new to be detected. If you have questions, our care counselors are happy to walk you through the process, start to finish.

Yes! A vitamin deficiency can be easily treated with an updated diet and/or oral supplements.4 Similar actions can be taken to correct a surplus of vitamins, including both dietary changes and abstaining from high-dose supplements. However, treating potential damage due to long-term deficiency or excessive supplementation should be discussed with your healthcare provider.
